RonaDeck Resin Bonded Steel Primer is an economical, fast drying primer for prepared steel surfaces prior to the application of RonaDeck Resin Bonded Surfacing. Easily applied by brush or roller.

Preparation
Prepare steel by thorough degreasing and by shot blasting to SA2.5. The steel must be dry and free from loose shot.
Application Conditions
Air and surface temperature between -18ºC and +55ºC
Relative humidity between 30% and 99%
Application surface to be dry to touch.
Do not apply in rain, or if rain is expected before the primer becomes touch dry.
Application
1. Stir RonaDeck Resin Bonded Steel Primer with a low speed mixer, avoiding air entrapment. Before opening and stirring, the temperature of the material must be at least 3ºC above dew point.
2. Apply the primer at the rate of 145g/m² using a brush, roller or airless spray, if the environment permits..
3. Ensure the primer is tack free (full evaporation of solvent) before overlaying with RonaDeck Resin Bonded Surfacing. Application before solvent evaporation will result in blistering.
Shelf Life and Storage
RonaDeck Resin Bonded Steel Primer is supplied in 5 litre units.
RonaDeck Resin Bonded Steel Primer should be stored in unopened containers in dry warehouse conditions between 10°C and 35°C and protected from direct sunlight and frost. Shelf life of unopened containers is approximately 6 months. Once opened, material must be used within 10 days.
